If you have ever heard of Pipe Major Bill Robertson, of The Royal Scots, then you will know that whatever he is doing has to be good. Well, now Bill has a great new web site and it is all about bagpipe tutorials. There is a lot of free audio lessons together with the exercise and music sheets to give you a taste of what he has to offer. This is a splendid web site and I was so impressed with the free lessons I have already asked my wife to purchase the lessons on DVD. Well! she has the pay pal account. ;-)

I have included two links for Bill's site. The one above is the main site. This one takes you directly to the tutorial purchase page. Again I have to say that this is very good value indeed.
PipeBandArticles.com

So far they have 192 articles. Everything ranging from drumming, tuning, culture, history, learning to play, drones etc. Lots of good information all in one location. Another great site

Bagpiper.com

One of the best general information sites I have ever seen. Well worth a visit.

Guide to Recognizing Brands of Drone Reeds

Andrew Lenz Jr writes "This page is intended to provide both a bit of history of and a guide to drone reeds for the Great Highland Bagpipe. Reeds are listed in approximate chronological order, the more recently released reeds are located at the bottom.

Drumbeater
Dedicated to the art of Pipe band drumming. There is a lot of gif images of drum music here. Includes some massed bands settings and warm up exercises.
